***VACCINE REQUIRED: we are asking anyone who wishes to hop up on the Pavilion and Do The Dancing with us to be a fully vaccinated human, please bring your card and be gracious if someone asks to see it***
Our first night out was a rousing success, so we will be back at the Bouyant Pavilion in Redmond Downtown Park doing some dancing on Friday night! My intention is for us to have some fun dancing, and also raise some awareness for local teachers and studios as we move into re-opening.
This is a free event and is in an open air park - come dance with us, walk over to Molly Moon's for some ice cream, maybe talk to curious park-goers about the awesomeness that is WCS!
Donations are welcome to support the sound system and DJ volunteers, who are supporting this FREE and fun event for the WCS dance community!
A note from our co-organizer, Laura:
Hello lovely friends!
Couple of logistical notes, since these things still matter:
- This event is taking place in an open-air park, which places it super-high on the safety spectrum as far as current CDC guidelines go. THAT SAID, it's a public venue, which means I won't have any control over the vaccine, mask, distancing behaviors of random park-goers. If this does not meet your safety bar, I fully respect your choice.
- I am asking that anyone who wishes to hop up on the Pavilion and Do The Dancing with us to be a fully vaccinated human, please bring your card and be gracious if someone asks to see it.
- Masks will not be required but will be 100% welcome - anyone who chooses to mask is Valid AF and will be respected. Let's all look out for one another, I trust you all to be wonderful humans.
- This event is once again free to attend. I'll put out an envelope for any donations you'd like to make for the sound system and the DJ, since fellow community members are also graciously offering up their time to make this happen.
- The Pavilion space is covered, so my plan is to go "Rain or Shine", but obviously we'll adjust on the day if anything of significance changes.
- Feel free to bring food/drink/blankets to sit on, no alcohol allowed. Please respect the open space and take any trash away with you!If I've missed anything, please comment here or send me a PM!
