About Our Guest: Kate Garboden (She/Her)
Kate is a well known WCS educator in Seattle. She runs the Hi-Lo Seattle mentorship program, is your co-Chief Judge and Scorekeeper for the SSDC Competition programs.
She especially enjoys diving deep into WCS technique with her students.

Tentative SCHEDULE
2:00 pm Open Floor Practice: Practice solo or bring a partner. Need a space to teach a private lesson? - feel free to use the space, no floor fee. Try our Facebook Practice Club group to look for partners!
3:30 pm Register, warm up, and volunteer to set up
4:00 pm Intermediate WCS Workshop with Kate: “The Art of Technique”. How good technique can improve your creativity. We will focus on weight placement and stability in your own body to free up time and space to play.
Prerequisite: No WSDC points required to attend. Make sure you are very comfortable with all basic patterns and a few variations of each (Push, Pass, Tuck, Whip).
5:00 pm All Levels WCS Workshop with Kate: “The Technique of Art”. How, when, and where to add arm and leg styling to play in patterns and influence the dance.
Prerequisite: Know basic patterns (Push, Pass, Tuck, Whip).
5:30 pm FREE 1 Hour Beginner Lesson (upstairs) with Shane Belau
6:00 pm Social dance starts, with DJ Rassamy
9:00 pm Social dance ends & volunteer to clean up
