Please join us in celebrating our Seattle Westie community. This is a FREE social dance with a twist! It will be a Blues Edition meaning that the focus will be on dancing to blues music.

With so many wonderful competitors in Seattle, how well you dance to blues could be the difference in whether you make finals!! We get very little instruction on blues and most dances play very few blues songs. I hear Laura Hunter in my head saying "Get to Class!"

The Seattle Swing Club has allowed us to use their facility in West Seattle so thank you SSDC!! Reminder: the West Seattle Bridge is OPEN

Blues Edition will feature two FREE workshops with Katie Schneider, followed by a FREE social dance with every 3rd song being blues. Finally, there will be a FREE open Jack and Jill competition to blues music with cash prizes.

Scot McKay has generously offered his time to DJ. If there are other DJs that would donate their time to play a set, just PM me and we would love to have you.

The wonderful Wren Newman will be running the comp and I will announce the judges in the days ahead.

Lastly, like last time (can you believe it has been 3 years since the last Westies are the Besties Dance?), there will be a potluck so please bring your favorite snacks and drinks. I will bring some wine!!
