Regular Social Dances

Looking for a place to dance? New events pop up almost every week, but these are the standbys — the long-running social dances that happen at least once a month.

Any of these can move or skip a week for weather, holidays or a big weekend event, so check the Seattle Event Calendar or the local Facebook groups before you head out. For one-off and seasonal events, the calendar is the place to look, and Annual WCS Events covers the once-a-year weekenders.

Tuesdays

• Reverie Ballroom — 915 E Pine St, Seattle (Capitol Hill) · weekly · 8:30pm–midnight · $15, $5 students

  An intro class offered from 8-8:30 (free with dance purchase).

Wednesdays

• West Coast Swing Wednesday — Mercer Island VFW, 1836 72nd Ave SE, Mercer Island · weekly · 8pm–10:30pm · $15

  Beginner and advanced classes offered 7–8pm ($5 with dance, $15 standalone).

Thursdays

• Salsa Con Todo — 211 N 36th St, Seattle (Fremont) · weekly · 10pm–midnight · $10 pre-registered, $15 at the door

  A drop-in WCS class runs at 9pm beforehand ($15, sold separately from the social).

Fridays (alternating)

• 1st & 3rd — Lynnwood Ballroom — 19505 44th Ave W, Lynnwood · dance 9pm–midnight · $12

  Drop-in classes at 7:30 ($8 extra). Ample free parking.

• 2nd & 4th — Westie Eastside — Bellevue United Methodist Church, 1934 108th Ave NE, Bellevue · 8pm–10pm · $15

  A drop-in WCS class is at 7pm beforehand ($5 with dance, $15 standalone). Held in a church hall, but not a religious event — all are welcome. Beginners get $5 off.

Saturdays

• Brunch Dances — Phinney Neighborhood Association Community Hall, Seattle · occasional Saturday mornings · 10:30am–12:30pm · suggested $5–10 A morning dance for the early birds, with a potluck brunch and chill weekend DJing. No one is turned away for inability to pay. Watch the Facebook group for dates.

• Baila District — 2920 NE Blakeley St, Suite F, Seattle (University District) · monthly, date varies · 8–11pm · $15 social only A monthly Saturday-evening social. Check the site each month for the date.

Sundays

• SSDC Sundays — Alki Masonic Center, 4736 40th Ave SW, Seattle (West Seattle) · 1st & 3rd Sundays Our own event: workshops, a FREE beginner class at 5:30pm, competitions, and social dancing from 6:30pm.
