Swing through the Seattle Swing Dance Club (SSDC) for West Coast Swing (WCS) workshops, free beginner lesson, and Westie social dancing!
WCS workshops with WCS Champion Demetre Souliotes (Meech)
Come early for Open Practice (90 min before workshops start, free for members)
FREE one-hour newcomer West Coast Swing class: invite your friends & family to start or learn the opposite role if you know WCS basics
Three hours of social dancing: DJ Jam session featuring DJ Rassamy, DJ MCBeaucoup (Marie Pascale-Cote) and DJ Koby.

1:30 pm Open Practice Club, try our Facebook Practice Club group to look for partners!
2:30 pm Register, warm up, and volunteer to set up
3:00 pm *Advanced/All-Star WCS Workshop with Meech: "Rhythm Timing… Footwork n Play". Movement inspired by Syncopations and Rhythm play that allow footwork to be the inspiration for level changes, rhythm changes and pattern shifts.
(*Must qualify to participate in this leveled workshop with World Swing Dance Council Advanced/All Star points registry)
All levels can still AUDIT this class! In our Advanced/All-Star offerings, auditors are expected to:
Pay the fees as normal.
You may use the dance floor to practice the material solo or with partner who is also auditing. You may not join the main class rotation or spotlight critiques.
Take notes silently and respect the learning environment. Please refrain from asking questions or disrupting the class.
4:00 pm Intermediate WCS Workshop with Meech: “Choose Your Own Adventure”. We’ll go on a journey together using patterns that will require us to not go into autopilot, we’ll need to be present as our partners will have a choice that will inspire the outcome!
No WSDC points required to attend. Make sure you are comfortable with all basic patterns and a few variations (Push, Pass, Tuck, Whip).
5:00 pm All Levels WCS Workshop with Meech: "Level Up". Taking basics and slowly adding dynamics to create higher level dancing. See how the soup is made!
5:30 pm FREE 1 Hour Beginner Lesson (upstairs)
6:00 pm Social dance starts
6:00 - 7:00 DJ Rassamy
7:00 - 8:00 DJ MCBeaucoup
8:00 - 9:00 DJ Koby
9:00 pm Social dance ends & volunteer to clean up
