Tips
Arrive Early to allow plenty of time to park, locate the ballroom and check in.
No partner necessary (we will be rotating partners) - bring as many friends as you like. On the other hand, if rotating is not your jam and you really wish to stay together with your partner, you are welcome to do so.
Wear comfortable clothing. Make sure you can raise your hands above your head.
Wear the right shoes. 1. You should be able to pivot on hardwood floors without putting strain on the joints. Suede or leather soles are best; avoid rubber soles. If you can do the twist on your kitchen floor without squeaking or sticking, they will probably be OK. 2. You will be doing a lot of walking. We advise heel height no more than 1.5 inches. Flats are common.
Keep hydrated and snack during breaks.
Bring an extra shirt or change of clothes. You may want to freshen up before social dancing, but it is not required
Bring concert earplugs or other hearing protection just in case, if you plan to stay for the Evening Show. During the show, the ballroom may get a bit loud.
Please refrain from wearing strong perfumes/cologne.
If you recently handled peanuts or pet animals, we ask that you wash hands thoroughly before asking others to dance.
