No partner necessary
No prior dance experience required
Our lovely guest teachers will get you started on your WCS dance journey by getting you moving through all of the basic patterns (Push, Pass, Tuck, Whip).

About our guest| Lan VoBa (she/her)
Lan VoBa is a west coast swing dancer based in the Pacific Northwest. She has been doing WCS for almost 10 years and loves the artistic expression and partnership that this dance offers.
These days she runs a peer practice group for intermediate and advanced competitive dancers, a WCS choreography class called “Choreolite”, teaches WCS at Salsa Con Todo, and volunteers with the Seattle Swing Dance Club as one of their beginner lesson instructors. She is passionate about bringing in new dancers, rooting for her peers, and supporting local professionals and organizers.
About our guest| Stephen White (He/Him)
Want to have a good time while learning some valuable skills? Meet WCS Champion Stephen White! He’s been teaching partner dance for 20+ years, and has had a wide range of success in educating humans on various movement while keeping them entertained.
You can usually find Stephen teaching WCS Teams at Salsa Con Todo on Tuesdays and Thursdays, group lessons at Baila District on Wednesdays, and supporting local events as a teacher, MC or judge.
SCHEDULE
2:00 pm Open Floor Practice: Practice solo or bring a partner. Need a space to teach a private lesson? - feel free to use the space, no floor fee. Try our Facebook Practice Club group to look for partners!
3:00 pm Register, warm up, and volunteer to set up
3:30 pm WCS Beginner Bootcamp with Lan and Stephen
No partner or prior experience required. Just bring yourself and your willingness to learn!

6:00 pm Social dance starts, with DJ Koby
