About Us

Seattle Swing Dance Club (SSDC) is the longest running dance club since 1965 and local nonprofit organization that provides West Coast Swing (WCS) aka Modern Swing workshops, FREE beginner lessons, social dances, and competitions in West Seattle. Join us every first and third Sunday!

What to expect

We host Modern Swing Seattle dance events for club members and guests:

  • every first and third Sunday at Alki Masonic Hall (4736 40th Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98116).

  • annual convention Easter Swing at Hyatt Regency Bellevue.

  • occasional whole workshop weekends.

UPDATE 12.30.2021: The SSDC Board has made the decision to postpone this event. We appreciate your support and understanding as we navigate the community health and safety effects of the new COVID-19 variant and WA winter weather advisory. As a 501c3 organization run completely on volunteers, we greatly rely on the community efforts to keep the nonprofit dance club active and running. 🌃 Seattle Swing Dance Club is preparing to get back to dance with our very first in-person SSDC event since COVID-19! Please note this is a vaccine-only and mask-required event at this time and subject to health & safety changes at SSDC’s discretion.
